How to wear the costumes
Choose your favorite kimono.
The staff will help you put on the kimono over the clothes you are wearing.
Important Points

Hair styling and makeup are not included.

There are no kimonos for young children. (Kimonos are available for those who are 150cm tall or taller.)

The number of kimonos are limited.

The dressing time will take about 10 to 15 minutes.

For safety reasons, we will not be able to dress customers, who are unable to walk unaided.

Eating, drinking and entering any of the paid attractions is forbidden when wearing the costumes.

We offer a range of costumes from historical drama characters to Kyoto-style Maiko and the costume and makeup are tailored to your fit!
Our staff has experience working on Toei movies and TV series.
The 15 to 20-minute Costume Course is recommended for those who want to try this experience without the makeup, or do not have a lot of time!
The 60-minute Full Course is for those who would like to take in the full experience!

Important Points

After completing the costume, you can take a walk around Eigamura for 1 hour. If you finish dressing after 15:30, the walking time will be shorter. (Walk ends at 16:30)

If you are late for your reservation time, you may not be able to dress up. (We will change the time if there is space.)

Attractions, eating, drinking, and smoking while in costume are not permitted.

Due to the shape of the costumes, children must be at least 5 years old and taller than 110cm.

Children up to 145 cm should choose from the children's costume menu.

You cannot wear glasses while wearing a wig.

If the size of the costume and wig do not match, you may not be able to dress up. In addition, we may not be able to meet your request for the color and pattern as the kimono will be delivered according to your size of you.

"Makeup" can be added to the period costume experience + wig plan. If you wish to add any additions, please let the staff know on the day. In addition, we may refuse depending on the situation on-site.

It takes only 5 minutes from changing into your costume until the photos are ready! It’s a quick changing process without having to take off your regular clothes.
The commemorative photo will be produced by using the appropriate backdrop to go with the costume. There are over 20 types of costumes! For women, there are the popular Princess, Maiko and Oiran costumes and for men, there are the Feudal Lord, Shinsengumi (guardsman), Sakamoto Ryoma (samurai), and many more.
Choose your favorite costume. For children, we recommend the Anmitsu-Hime princess, Maiko, Shinsengumi (guardsman), or the Ninja costumes.
For children who are 130cm tall or less, we will offer costumes without the hair ornaments, headwear or wigs.
